Clinical Standards & Formula

Paracetamol (acetaminophen) dosing in children is strictly weight-based (10 to 15 mg per kg per single dose), NOT age-based. Doses should be administered at least 4 to 6 hours apart, never exceeding 4 doses (or 60 mg/kg) in any 24-hour period. Always use a calibrated oral medicine syringe or dropper.

Clinical Guidelines

Single Dose Standard (15 mg/kg) The standard therapeutic single dose. Provides reliable fever reduction and pain relief within 30 to 60 minutes.
Dosing Interval (4–6 Hours) Do not give more frequently than every 4 hours. Maximum 4 doses within any 24-hour window to protect liver function.
Formulation Clarity Infant drops (100 mg/mL) are 4x more concentrated than standard syrups (120 mg/5 mL). Always verify the bottle concentration carefully.
Red Flag Warnings Seek immediate medical care at Annai 24/7 Casualty if fever is >102°F in infants under 3 months, or accompanied by lethargy, rash, vomiting, or breathing difficulty.
